HOW TO REMOVE A DECAL STICKER

  1. Apply Heat: Use a hairdryer or heat gun on a low setting to warm the decal. Hold it a few inches away from the surface, moving it around to heat the entire decal evenly. The heat softens the adhesive, making it easier to peel off.
  2. Peel Off the Decal: Starting at one edge, gently lift the decal using your fingernail or a plastic scraper (like a credit card). Slowly peel the decal away from the surface. Go slowly to avoid tearing the decal and to ensure that as much of the adhesive as possible comes off with it.
  3. Remove Any Remaining Adhesive: If adhesive residue remains, apply rubbing alcohol or an adhesive remover to a soft cloth or paper towel and gently rub the area until the adhesive dissolves. Be sure to test a small area first to ensure that the solution doesn't damage the surface.
  4. Clean the Surface: Once the decal and adhesive are removed, clean the surface with mild soap and water or a surface-appropriate cleaner to remove any remaining residue and to restore the surface to its original condition.
  5. Dry the Area: Wipe the area dry with a soft cloth or let it air dry.
Tips:
  • For glass or smooth metal surfaces: A razor blade can be used to lift the edge of the decal, but be careful not to scratch the surface.
  • For stubborn adhesive: Re-apply heat and continue rubbing with a cloth and adhesive remover until fully removed.
  • Avoid harsh chemicals: When removing decals from painted surfaces, avoid strong solvents that could damage the paint.
