Love To Scribble is an independent stationery brand founded by artist, actor, and entrepreneur Luba Hansen in April 2024. Based in Maryland, we create and curate colorful notebooks, journals, sticky notes, bookmarks, greeting cards, writing tools, and creative gifts designed to make everyday scribbling feel a little more joyful.

Our stationery is made for writers, readers, artists, journal lovers, list makers, dreamers, and anyone who feels inspired by a fresh page and a beautiful design.

The idea started in NYC

The idea for Love To Scribble began long before the shop opened.

While pursuing her acting career in New York City, Luba spent countless hours writing lines from scripts by hand. Scribbling each line helped her memorize dialogue, understand her characters, and slow down enough to connect with the emotions behind the words.

She often used different ink colors as visual cues. What began as an acting technique gradually became a creative ritual—a quiet form of focus, reflection, and self-expression.

That love of writing by hand inspired the name Love To Scribble.

Blossomed in Maryland

After years of collecting notebooks and journals, Luba noticed that many stationery products felt plain, predictable, or disconnected from the colorful creativity she loved.

She wanted stationery that felt expressive before the first word was even written.

Love To Scribble was created to fill that space with bold artwork, playful patterns, useful details, and original designs that encourage people to pick up a pen and create something of their own.

Today, Love To Scribble operates from Maryland and ships colorful stationery to customers throughout the United States and internationally.
