Meet the Artist: The Story Behind Love to Scribble Designs

Welcome to Love to Scribble!  We're thrilled to share the creative journey behind our vibrant and inspiring stationery products.  Founded by Luba Hansen, Love to Scribble is not just an online store but a celebration of creativity, passion, and the joy of putting pen to paper.

Luba Hansen, the talented artist and founder of Love to Scribble, has always had an entrepreneurial spirit.   Luba was adopted by an American couple at the age of ten and grew up in the Washington, D.C. area.  Her love for the arts began early when her adoptive parents took her to see a production of Shakespeare's Hamlet at age twelve.  This experience ignited a lifelong passion for performing arts, leading her to study at the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts and pursue a career in acting and modeling.

While Luba's professional life flourished in the entertainment industry, she found another outlet for her creativity in the world of stationery.  Since her early twenties, Luba has been an avid bullet journaler, cherishing the power of self-expression through writing and art.  Over time, she accumulated a collection of notebooks and journals but noticed a lack of vibrant, playful designs that truly sparked with her artistic vision.

In 2024, Luba decided to fill this gap in the market by launching Love to Scribble. The name of the company reflects her deep-rooted love for scribbling lines and rehearsing scripts, a practice that became a form of meditation and connection to her craft.  Each notebook and journal at Love To Scribble features colorful designs inspired by the photos and artwork that move her, transforming ordinary stationery into tools of inspiration.
